Boston trailed by 19 points after the opening quarter and by 25 after the third period but rallied with a 20-6 run at the end of regulation to force overtime.

For a team struggling to find its identity, Brad Stevens forced his guys to dig deep, stay focused and keep fighting.

Warren, starting for the first time since October 31, scored 14 first-quarter points as the Suns took advantage of Boston's shooting woes.

Irving hit a 3 with 35.1 seconds to go in the fourth, then his steal led to Brown's layup that cut the Suns' lead to 98-97 with 7.3 seconds to play.

That left Morris wide open to get the ball back from Irving and drill a game-tying 3-pointer with 0.3 seconds remaining on the clock, sending the massive contingent of Celtics fans at Talking Stick Resort Arena into a frenzy. Jaylen Brown connected on the go-ahead 3-pointer in overtime to cap a 17-point effort and Terry Rozier added 10 points.

Aron Baynes' putback with 5:04 left in the first quarter was the Celtics' second basket of the game, and they shot just 4 of 22 in the quarter.

"I'm taking a picture of the Suns got a lead", he said as host Ernie Johnson questioned him.

The Celtics trailed 55-35 at the break.

Ainge said Rozier has not vented about playing time and no teams have called to inquire about the 24-year-old guard, according to NBCS Boston. Ryan Anderson came off the bench. No title contender, having dropped the first two games of a long road trip, should need to rally back from 17 down over the final seven minutes of regulation against basement-dwelling opposition. "He brings everything to the table you would think a really good player at that position brings", Stevens said.

Celtics will take on the Jazz Friday before closing out their five-game west coast swing in Portland on Sunday.
