The company says the 350 mAh unit, with the help of Wear 3100, will be able to eke out a day of life based on the "full smartwatch experience", which we assume includes some HR tracking and Global Positioning System.

The watch is the lightest and most colourful option that Fossil offers, with eight new colours: "Blush, ' "Red, ' 'Grey, ' 'Light Blue, ' 'Black, ' 'Smokey Blue" and a 'Neon" colour that is more or less yellow.

Fossil has unveiled its new Fossil Sport smartwatch, becoming the second company to feature Qualcomm's battery-extending Snapdragon Wear 3100 technology. Announced this September, the Wear 3100's biggest improvement over 2016's Wear 2100 is vastly improved battery life.

The array of sensors included with the Fossil Sport Smartwatch includes Global Positioning System, heart rate, NFC, altimeter, gyroscope, accelerometer, and ambient light.

Wayne Rooney farewell ticket sales will not go to player's foundation

Fossil's watches are typically designed with fashion in mind, but the Sport is all about being as functional as can be.

$255 is what you will have to pay for the Fossil Sport Smartwatch.

And, naturally, the whole show will continue to run on Google's Wear OS platform, which was recently given a makeover in order to improve day-to-day usability. If you prefer a brick and mortar shopping experience, you'll be able to snag the Sport Smartwatch from select Fossil retail stores around the globe starting November 12. It comes with standard 18mm or 22mm watch straps and the watch itself comes in 41mm and 43mm sizes. But the Fossil Sport at least sounds like it's not outrageously priced.
