According to Dave McMenamin of ESPN, it was a move that the Lakers were able to do as there is a theory that James former teammate and current Phoenix Suns general manager James Jones parted ways with center Tyson Chandler as a favor to help the four-time league MVP out. Through the incredibly small sample size of one game, the results have been good, as Chandler made life hell for Karl-Anthony Towns in the team's 114-110 win over the Minnesota Timberwolves.

The new contract for Chandler will pay him $2,109,867, according to ESPN's Bobby Marks, with the Lakers incurring a cap hit of $1,333,140.

"I told him he needs an opt-out clause wherever he's at", James said with a smile.

Chandler will provide needed frontcourt depth for the Lakers, who have relied on JaVale McGee and undersized forwards to guard big men during their 4-6 start to the season.

A stretch of seven games saw the Lakers not once win the battle of the boards as opposing teams feasted on the glass.

The other two are into the hospital including one suffering from a neck injury and is suspected to be in critical condition. Mr Hair said the assailant was dressed in Islamic clothing and of African appearance and about six foot four inches tall.

James, coach Walton and Brandon Ingram were all full of praise for Chandler after the game and believe the veteran can make an impact going into the rest of the campaign. Thibodeau used the same starting lineup from Monday's loss to the Clippers. Chandler grew up in several parts of California before moving to Compton, where he starred at Dominguez High School and became the No. 2 pick in the 2001 National Basketball Association draft.

Andrew Wiggins had 19 points for the Wolves, while Taj Gibson had 16 points and 11 rebounds.

"Having observed our roster for the first 10 games of this young season, one of the areas that Earvin and I discussed with Luke that we desired to upgrade is interior defense and rebounding", said Pelinka. "We've been outrebounded. We have to figure out a way to go get the ball".

The Toronto Raptors continued their impressive run this season with a 114-105 win over the Sacramento Kings.
