Dez Bryant's comeback came to a screaming halt on Friday.

After being released by the Cowboys in April, Bryant had interest from other teams, but he was selective in the process before landing in New Orleans.

New Orleans Saints wide receiver Dez Bryant is already faced with a big challenge, having signed with the team on Thursday and needing help off he field on Friday with a possibly-torn Achilles tendon.

The person spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because the team has not announced any details of Bryant's medical exam.

Here's wishing well to Bryant and hope for a swift recovery. "I won't question the man upstairs. this is the ultimate test. thank you everyone for the prayers".

The WR - who just signed with the Saints earlier this week - was running a route when he collapsed. After his first practice on Thursday, he expressed an eagerness to play with National Football League all-time passer Drew Brees, and help a club that looks like a Super Bowl contender.

A three-time Pro Bowl selection, Bryant was the 24th pick in the 2010 draft, chalking up 7,459 receiving yards and 73 touchdowns in eight seasons, all with Dallas.
