He found his answer in an old-style flip phone. But it also sparked quite an emotional reaction from Horn. Thomas has a very real chance to finish the season with the best numbers of his career and most importantly, the Saints just continue to win games.

"I paid a tribute to him, tried to get the crowd going a little bit more, set the tone, have fun out there, giving people a show", Thomas said, according to ESPN.

That, in case you don't remember, is the same exact celebration former Saints wideout Joe Horn broke out in 2003 when he caught a big touchdown.

It was flagged. but Horn (and a buncha others) loved it - with the ex-Saints star telling, "I teared up".

"I wasn't all that fired up about the penalty", Payton said.

Israeli military spokesman Jonathan Conricus said all Israeli soldiers involved had returned to Israel. No physical injuries were reported, and no property damage was caused.

Thomas raced into the back of the end zone, pulled a cell phone out from underneath the goal post and simulated making a call. "We don't want to corrupt the game like that".

Thomas has been one of the more notable Saints this season with his vocal presence on Twitter. New Orleans is simply getting better as games go on.

Sunday was a ideal example of the power an attention-grabbing stunt can have as "Joe Horn" who last played an National Football League game in 2007 - was featured in more than 35,000 tweets less than an hour after the final whistle.

It took a while for the Fox booth to acknowledge the connection between Thomas' celebration and Horn celebration, but they recognized it at the end of the game. "I felt had an opportunity to make it happen, put the game away and make the call".
