The April Update had the fastest Windows 10 update rollout velocity but given the issues with the October Update, it's no surprise that Microsoft is taking a measured approach this time around.

Security updates to Microsoft Edge, Internet Explorer, Windows Scripting, Windows App Platform and Frameworks, Windows Graphics, Windows Graphics, Windows Media, Windows Wireless Networking, Windows Kernel, and Windows Server. Thankfully, as of yesterday, Microsoft has completed its investigation and will continuing rolling out the update, which includes full support for DirectX Raytracing (DXR).

The October 2018 Update, which brings an armload of new features to Windows 10, is finally starting to roll out to users starting today, according to a Microsoft blog post.

"We will up our effort to improve our ability to prevent issues and our ability to respond quickly and openly when issues do arise", Microsoft's Windows Corporate VP Michael Fortin said on the company's Windows blog.

Irish woman's rant after denied drink on Air India flight to Heathrow
The woman continued to shout abuse at the crew and she said to one of the pilots: "I work for all you f***ing people". In a video clip recorded by a cabin crew member, the woman can be heard using expletives several times.

However, shortly after its release a number of users insisted they were experiencing problems that caused some of their precious files to be deleted without warning.

Microsoft's John Cable, director of program management for Windows servicing and delivery, writes that in addition to extensive internal validation, the company has closely monitored feedback and diagnostic data from Windows Insiders. For more details on now supported versions and support end dates, see the Windows 10 lifecycle fact sheet and the Windows 10 release information page. And those people will need to manually check for the update in order to install it.

Anyway, if you're able to install the Windows 10 October 2018 Update, you'll find yourself with all kinds of tweaks to the operating system, chief among them, a new way to integrate your PC with an Android phone.

Cable said there has been no further evidence of data loss with the revised updated. These downloads happen even if the intent of the user was just to look at the updates installed on a machine. And there's the recent Windows Activation Bug, not to mention.
