The comedian and actress had to cancel some of her upcoming shows and posted a photo of herself laying in a hospital bed.

Schumer confirmed she was expecting her first child with husband Chris Fisher in a cheeky Instagram post shared on a friend's account.

"Texas I am so deeply sorry", the Trainwreck star began. "And Texas I am really really sorry and I'll be out there as soon as I'm better". I'm in the hospital. I'm fine, ' she said. I've been even more ill this trimester, ' she wrote in the snap's caption. "I have hyperemesis and it blows", she wrote.

"Very lucky to be pregnant but this is some bulls-t!"

On Instagram, Schumer also showed the hospital staff taking care of her "so much love", and she apologized to her fans who had expected to see her in comedy shows, as she had to cancel. They're cool as hell!

As you may remember, earlier this month, Amy confessed that pregnancy has been really tough on her.

Amy Schumer has revealed is suffering from hyperemesis gravidarum - the same condition the Duchess of Cambridge suffered from during her pregnancies.

She announced the news in a low-key post on her friend's Instagram account that encouraged fans to vote for certain candidates in the United States midterm elections.

Up to 20 per cent of sufferers experience symptoms up to weeks 14-to-20, however, most have relief in the later stages.

Womenshealth.gov notes that HG can cause a pregnant woman to vomit "several times every day", leading to reduced appetite, dehydration and feeling faint. While hyperemesis is rare, Mayo Clinic reports that it may require hospitalization such as with Schumer's case.
