Van Dijk: Sergio Ramos not my type of defender

Ramos has remained fairly tight-lipped about Lovren - simply telling reporters that he's not interested in responding to players who want to make headlines - although his latest Instagram activity shows exactly what he thinks about the Liverpool centre-back.

Croatia coach Zlatko Dalic will speak with Dejan Lovren about comments the Liverpool defender made to Sergio Ramos on social media.

After the game, Lovren was then seen taunting the Spaniard in an Instagram live video calling him and the Spain squad "p******", before uploading a picture of himself beating Ramos in an aerial duel.

After the match Lovren appeared to suggest he elbowed Ramos on goal in an Instagram Live video, which has since expired.

Not only did he celebrate his elbow on Ramos during the match, but he also described the Madrid star and his Spanish teammates as a "bunch of p***ies" - which was nice of him.

"Mentally, something changed for Real Madrid once Salah left the pitch", Van Dijk told De Telegraaf.

Van Dijk and Ramos could meet again in the Champions League this season. An excellent defender, young and has already won a lot.

Lovren spoke about Ramos earlier this month in an interview where he claimed the Spain global makes a lot of mistakes, in the latest of a number of incidents of bad feeling between Liverpool players and Ramos.

Ramos then appeared to foul Liverpool goalkeeper Loris Karius and later touched Salah on his injured shoulder at an awards ceremony.

"I do not know if it was on goal, but mentally something changed for Real Madrid when Salah was substituted", he continued.

"Suddenly, Marcelo, Benzema and Ronaldo all appeared at Trent and released the entire right side".
