There are multiple sessions across the two days, and those with access can play in one or all of them on a chosen device.

This Closed Alpha test is an opportunity for you to not only check out the game, but help the developers stress test the servers and provide feedback. "It runs from December 8-9, 2018", explains EA.

For those signing up, please be aware that entry is granted on a "first come first served" basis, and registration does not automatically guarantee you a spot.

Sign-ups are now live, and you can register your interest here.

Players across PS4, Xbox One and PC will be able to sign up to be part of the closed alpha.

The signing process asks you to agree to a NDA so you won't be able to discuss the game and its content openly without EA's approval. Once the playtest has started, be sure to check your email to see if EA have sent you instructions on how to download the closed alpha test client. In case you try to get into a session, and it's full, you can still sign up for a waiting list, that much is true. An Anthem pre-launch demo will be playable on February 1st for pre-orders.

All you need to do is sign up to EA's Community Playtesting program - but do it right now as space is limited.

Electronic Arts mentioned earlier this year that they were strongly pushing cross-platform play for all of their games in the future, and though BioWare has mentioned no crossplay in the past it looks like that doesn't necessarily mean forever. Once your application is accepted, you will get notified. BioWare has announced the first round of alpha testing for Anthem, and it's going to let a select group of players take the game for a spin. You will have four time-slot options for the play-test to choose from.
