Naturally, we watch it every year.

It will be interesting to see what form this next Far Cry takes, as it's only been nine months since the release of Far Cry 5. Plus, The Game Awards' Geoff Keighley basically confirmed as much in a response to someone on Twitter. In order to hype this new FC game, the publisher has released a teaser trailer that you can find below. However you felt about it, looks like the next Far Cry offering will pick up right where those explosions left off, in a post-apocalyptic wasteland.

It's looking like the next Far Cry is going to be set after the end of the world.

BT will remove Huawei 4G equipment and excludes company from 5G bids
However, BT will continue to use Huawei's kit in what it considers to be benign parts of the network, such as equipment on masts, FT said.

Far Cry fans will instantly realise that not only does the initial setting seem to be the same as Far Cry 5 but that the game had a surprise ending where the religious cult set off a nuclear attack.

Given the short time span between this tease and Far Cry 5, it's fairly unlikely that this title will be a full-fat Far Cry experience.

Alternatively, Ubisoft could be treating it as a separate spin-off, similar to Far Cry Primal, and the similarities to Far Cry 5 are just being played up by the teaser. We'll report more on this new project when it is formally revealed at The Game Awards tomorrow night.
