Curious what song was playing during the Mortal Kombat 11 trailer?

The next installment in the "Mortal Kombat" franchise launches globally on April 23, series co-creator Ed Boon announced during The Game Awards on Thursday. The trailer also included a release date for Mortal Kombat 11, and it's not far off.

After E3 2018 came and went without any word from developer NetherRealm Studios, many thought that any hope for a new Mortal Kombat was premature. Just about everything short of an X-ray attack was teased in the CGI fight, which can hopefully be one mechanic to be dropped from Mortal Kombat X.

Officials from the Pentagon and the State Department told CNN that they could not discuss matters related to national intelligence.

"By giving players more creative control, Mortal Kombat 11 is a testament to why this iconic franchise is so strong and increasingly relevant after more than 25 years".

All pre-orders for Mortal Kombat 11 will get access to Shao Khan as a playable character as well as beta access shortly before release. Following the game's announcement, a press release was sent out that divulged new information about one of Mortal Kombat 11's most notable features: its custom character variation system. The game will also be engineered through a new graphics engine, showcasing every gory detail and brutal moment as spectacularly as possible to bring gamers closer to the fight. Now while NetherRealm Studios has not reveal any gameplay footage, it promises to do so on January 17th during the Mortal Kombat 11: The Reveal event.
