The Los Angeles Sparks are excited to announce the hiring of five-time NBA Champion Derek Fisher as Head Coach.

"I am thrilled to name Derek Fisher our next head coach", Sparks Executive Vice President and General Manager Penny Toler said in a statement.

The suit says the Woloshins rented the house a year ago after their home was damaged by Hurricane Irma, agreeing to pay $30,000 a month.

According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, Fisher will officially be introduced at a press conference on Friday afternoon in Los Angeles.

WNBA outfit the Sparks made the announcement on Wednesday as ex-Los Angeles Lakers guard Fisher, 44, prepares to return to coaching.

This is the first-time he has been a coach of a WNBA franchise. He went 17-65 in his first year as head coach of the Knicks and was sacked the following season after the team's 23-31 record.
