The former Pussycat Dolls star has faced criticism that her performance background gave her a head start over the other celebrities on the BBC One show. Her dad would have loved this.

'What you have is this ability to bring every character of every dance to life.' Bruno told her. She needs to be on stage. "There are no words for how proud I am of that child".

'I'm a professional dancer and what she's doing is outstanding - regardless of whether she's trained or not.

Ashley's friend Kimberly also praised her for her "resilience", adding that she had been brought to tears by Roberts's contemporary couple's choice dance in memory of her father.

"Out you went from a cloud of hairspray", Bruno declared. Ashley and her dancer partner Pasha Kovalev have undeniably been one of this year's strongest couples, having scored the first 40 of the series due to their spectacular jive. 'Maybe if I had a dishwasher it would be different, but when I cook I know I have to wash all the bowls and plates and I can't be bothered'.

Charlie Nicholas reveals his prediction for Liverpool FC v Man United
The former Borussia Dortmund boss agrees with Sir Alex Ferguson that Liverpool v Manchester United is the English El Clasico . I don't know if it was better or not better; I know the other team was European champion and that this team won nothing.

The 37-year-old has consistently scored towards the top of the leaderboard but, despite this, has ended up in the dance-off for the last three weeks in a row. "I just can't wait to get out there with these fabulous people - and to just enjoy it".

'So by the third time I looked at Pasha and was like 'OK honey, shall we just give them a little show because we're here!' We did have to battle to get to the final but I'm so grateful and I just want to go out there any enjoy it'.

Speaking to host Zoe Ball, he said: "I know everyone turns around each week and say that she's a dancer but she's never danced Latin and ballroom".

"You have got to keep things in perspective".

Daly and Winkleman both refused to spill any secrets about this weekend's finale, which will see Stacey Dooley, Joe Sugg, Faye Tozer and Ashley Roberts compete for the glitterball trophy.
