This is how Sheffield bin collections will change this Christmas

Those due between January 1-4 January will also be made one day later (between January 2-5).

Christmas cards, wine bottles, clean tins and cans can also be placed into the recycle bin. Those who receive collections on Tuesdays will have their landfill and recycling bins collected on the previous Saturday over the two weeks.

CHANGES are being made to waste and recycling collections across the Malvern Hills district over the Christmas and New Year period.

No changes have been made to waste collections for the remainder of this week, continuing until Christmas Eve on December 24. Collections will restart on the normal day from January 11.

Residents of Torridge are being encouraged to continue recycling over Christmas.

Collections due on Wednesday, December 26 - Boxing Day - will fall on Friday, December 28, while residents expecting collections on Thursday, December 27 will have their bins emptied on Saturday, December 29.

Collections return to normal on Monday, January 7.

Real Christmas trees will be collected by the Council on designated days, which can be found online.

Cllr Charles Royden, Portfolio Holder for Environment and Transport said "Take a moment to check your bin collection calendar over Christmas and New Year". Trees should be placed on the kerbside or by communal bins, for those who use the communal bin service, by 6am on the collection day.
