Sarri has revealed that Pedro will not feature for Chelsea for at least 10 days with the Spaniard having sustained a hamstring injury against Watford.

But now the winger has hinted at what the Blues need to do in order to convince him to stay at the club beyond the summer. "So I think it's very hard to play here, but I think it's fantastic".

Madrid are long-time admirers of Hazard, and speculation linking the Belgian with a move to the Spanish capital has only intensified as his contract ticks down.

Chelsea are yet to enter into negotiations with Hazard's camp regarding a new deal and Sarri says the time has come for the club to be decisive.

Eden Hazard reached 101 goals for Chelsea as the Blues edged out Watford 2-1 at Vicarage Road on Boxing Day, but the travelling fans reacted angrily when Hudson-Odoi was brought off with five minutes to play.

Sarri, however, warned that losing Fabregas during the season would complicate his job.

"The second problem was Odoi, it's not a serious problem but I don't think he will play in the next match". "The manager chooses where to put me on the pitch and I try to do my best". I think it's normal.

Sarri faced continued questioning from reporters about the decision to move him into the middle, but sees no issue with using Hazard's flexibility to play in both roles.

"There are for sure offers for these players, as you know the big problem is the duration of the new contract", he said.

"A player of his gifts needs to be at a club with the potential to win the Champions League, not just qualify for it".

Sarri has since justified the reasoning for substituting the Chelsea academy graduate.
