Nvidia finally took the wraps off of its mid-tier RTX graphics card, the RTX 2060.

For graphics cards you will be able to turn to the usual brands such as Asus, Colorful, EVGA, Gainward, Galax, Gigabyte, Innovision 3D, MSI, Palit, PNY and Zotac from 15 January. DLSS support isn't available in Battlefield V just yet, but that should arrive later this month alongside these new GPUs. Previous video cards have difficulty with ray tracing because of how demanding it is, but GeForce RTX cards feature RT Cores that specifically perform ray tracing as to not impact overall framerate.

Which RTX graphics can you get in a laptop?

While it's the least powerful of the RTX family, Huang says the $349 RTX 2060 is faster than the 1070 Ti and 60 percent more powerful than the 1060.

In terms of raw specs, the RTX 2060 comes with 240 Tensor Cores and is rated for "37 RTX-OPS", compared to the RTX 2070's 45, which gives some indication as to how well ray-tracing will work.

Gabon army stage coup to 'restore democracy'
Bongo, 59, is said to have suffered a stroke on October 24 while visiting Saudi Arabia and has since been treated in Morocco. Soldiers in Gabon have appeared on state television saying they have launched a coup in the West African country.

To compare with its closest relative in the product stack, Nvidia equipped the RTX 2060 with 6GB of 14Gbps GDDR6 memory, which is 2GB less than the RTX 2070 cards include.

NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang likened GeForce RTX-powered laptops to a gaming console platform, pointing out multiple times performance comparisons to traditional game consoles like the PlayStation 4. With ray tracing enabled, performance dropped to about 55 FPS.

It's impressive stuff, but of course these were just demos optimized to illustrate a point. At the top end, the RTX 2080 for laptops, incredibly, is faster than a GTX 1080 desktop graphics card and can hit more than 60 frames per second in Battlefield V with ray tracing turned on.

Please stay tuned to HEXUS as we will have a review of a GeForce RTX 2060 FE up here as soon as we are allowed to. On the other hand, those who will grab a 2080ti or 2080 will get both games to get them started on the road of RTX.
