Sevens days ago, Andreescu entered the qualifying rounds of the Classic, unheralded and hoping to get in a few matches before chancing her arm in qualifying at the Australian Open. There's a lot more tennis to (play) and a lot more improvement, (we'll) keep working. I'm just going to go for everything, ' and that's what I did and it worked.

Andreescu, who qualified as a lucky loser and defeated No. 1 seed Caroline Wozniacki in the previous round Thursday, lost the opening game of the second set after being overcome by Williams in the first-set tiebreak but won the next 11 games in a row to take a commanding 5-0 lead in the deciding set.

Germany's Goerges needed to save match-points in her 3-6, 6-3, 7-6 (6) win over Canadian Bouchard, coming back from a set down and then a match point down at 5-6 in the final set to reel off three successive points and win the encounter in the Auckland Open.

Andreescu will top her career-high ranking of No. 143 (set August 14, 2017) when the new list is released next week, WTA Tour statistics and information director Kevin Fischer said in an email.

Bouchard, from Westmount, Que., is also in the doubles draw with American Sofia Kenin.

"Bianca has this dimension where she's able to do more", Bruneau said. "Seeing a lot of the younger players doing well gives me inspiration". Before the season ended, however, she won two more Challenger events to build some momentum heading into the new season. "I think I prepared very well before this match".

Livestream: Kevin Spacey appears in Nantucket court
The busboy filmed a short part of the alleged groping on Snapchat and sent the video to his girlfriend, the complaint states. Spacey said he did not remember such an encounter but apologized if the allegations were true.

"She's very athletic and she moves well around the court", Branstine said from Orange County, Calif.

It's hard to believe that Andreescu is sitting outside the WTA's top 150, given the form she has exhibited over the last two matches.

"You just need to be really grounded", he said.

"But I am very, very, very optimistic for Bianca".

"So it's all about keep working, progressing, stay in the moment and do the right thing".
