Bohemian Rhapsody's wins, however, raised questions for some viewers.

Bryan Singer has thanked the Golden Globes for honouring Bohemian Rhapsody as best film (drama) in yesterday's star-studded ceremony.

Queen fans and audience members didn't agree with this assessment and watched the movie in droves anyway, earning it £583 million at the worldwide box office.

"Thank you to Freddie Mercury for giving me the joy of a lifetime". He was replaced by Dexter Fletcher, but was credited for the film because of union rules, reported the Guardian.

Now the film is celebrating again after being nominated for seven BAFTA awards. Last night, the Hollywood Foreign Press and everyone involved with Bohemian Rhapsody might have been ignoring Singer's attachment to the film, but Singer wasn't.

Reuters did not independently review the filing, which was soon replaced in the public database with a properly redacted version. He accepted a plea deal on his other charges in exchange for co-operating with Mr Mueller's inquiry.

Bohemian Rhapsody took home took home top honors at the 2019 Golden Globes Sunday night, with Rami Malek winning Best Actor in a Motion Picture - Drama for his passionate portrayal of Freddie Mercury and the film itself winning for Best Motion Picture - Drama.

One year ago at the 2018 Golden Globes, the words of the night were Time's Up. Singer has denied all allegations made against him. Both Queen drummer Roger Taylor and guitarist Brian May attended the Golden Globes, and May spoke out on the negative reaction that the movie has received in some quarters.

That being said, the Globes has often seen many of its winners go on to win at the Academy Awards so while many people in the industry might think Bohemian Rhapsody's success is an anomaly they could be proven wrong when the Oscar nominations come about.

In his acceptance speech, Malek said, "I'm beyond moved".
