Google Assistant now comes with a real-time translator for 27 languages

Say "Hey Google, be my French interpreter", to get real-time spoken or written translations to help you with local languages.

Background: This isn't Google's first go at real-time translation. Guided by a quirky narrator, the ride takes you through a day in the life of "Bob" as he uses the Google Assistant along the way.

The Assistant works with more than 1,600 home automation brands and more than 10,000 devices. "And when you're driving, the Assistant automatically calculates your ETA from Google Maps if you want to send your arrival time to friends", Google reported.

The Google Assistant update will allow owners of those select Sonos speakers who use Google's smart home ecosystem to play playlists, podcasts and radio stations hands-free just by using their voice.

The company said more airlines would be participating soon. Users will also be able to control smart home devices, such as dimming the lights or adjusting the thermostat, and relive favorite memories by pulling up Google Photos on the TV screen - all with their voice.

Google also said that the assistant will be integrated to Google Maps for both iOS and Android. The Assistant now also have the potency to become the interpreter for dozens of languages. At the moment, this will only be available for domestic flights in the US operated by United Airlines.

This is not all, Assistant can now also book hotels for you.
