The Academy looking to assemble The Avengers as Oscars hosts

Breaking news! In a blatant bid to distract everyone from the problematic initial host who still refuses to go away, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS) has announced it plans to assemble the Avengers on the stage of the Dolby Theater for the 91 Academy Awards next month.

A few days after his old tweets went viral, Hart claims the Academy asked that he apologize.

The group that puts on the Oscars has evidently settled on not having a single host this year; instead, the broadcast will feature a line-up of celebrities in different segments rather than being anchored around one person, as first reported by Variety and then by The Hollywood Reporter.

It's been nearly 30 years since that Oscars ceremony, and it's still considered the biggest disaster in the award show's history. Ellen tried to encourage him to return, even calling the Academy to reinstate Hart.

Friday forecast: Rain today, snow by tonight with several inches likely
With highs in the mid 30s, wind chills will be in the 20s thanks to a north wind that could gust as high as 20 miles per hour . Weather service forecasters say the Chicago area can expect between 1 and 3 inches of snow late Friday and into Saturday.

The Oscars may be getting some superpower in lieu of a famous comedian to host it.

"I want everybody to know I'm done with it", Hart told Good Morning America's host. "For the last time, I am done addressing this".

It's said that the show's producers are now working overtime to try and sign up as many big-name Marvel stars as possible and that several cast members were asked not to present at the Golden Globes in order to make their appearances at the Oscars that little bit more special. Instead of an opening monologue, there was a big musical number and an infamous Rob Lowe version of "Proud Mary".

The 2019 Oscars ceremony will air February 24.
