On the other hand, Malcom has the same fate as his fellow countryman after failing to live up to the billing at the Camp Nou following his £38 million move from Bordeaux.

Malcom has struggled since joining the Catalan giants, which has in turn affected his game time and the 21-year-old winger is also supposedly looking for a move away from Barcelona.

Barcelona were indeed one of the clubs that tried to sign Willian last summer, albeit unsuccessfully so.

The Brazilian only moved to Camp Nou in the summer and has found it hard to make a major impact, scoring two goals in his 10 appearances. Chelsea turned down Barcelona's latest bid to sign the former Shakhtar Donetsk attacker, according to the report in The Daily Telegraph, and it appears unlikely that Malcom will be going to Stamford Bridge either.

Cousins plans to return January 18
However, Cousins was still recovering from a knee injury he had suffered while playing for the New Orleans Pelicans past year . If that date holds up, Cousins will play for the first time this season against the Los Angeles Clippers .

While Sarri has been very open about the fact he has little say over transfers at Stamford Bridge, the Italian coach is expected to at least let his club hierarchy know what positions he feels his side need strengthening in.

Chelsea have scored the least goals (36) out of the top six and it's Willian's contribution that's most concerning. The Blaugrana had offered Malcom along with cash with the deal valued at around £50m but it has been rejected by the Blues.

€60m is a great value for a player like Willian, who is in the final stages of his prime and the current contract at Chelsea.

However, the Brazilian's future continues to be shrouded in uncertainty, with Barcelona renewing their interest in the Chelsea superstar.
