Fans confused by 'tie' at Critics Choice Awards

Among the big winners of the night were Lady Gaga and Glenn Close who took home the Best Actress awards after a tie.

Christian Bale sported a lovely new black suit at the Critics' Choice Awards last night, showing off his trim physique after stacking it on to play United States vice president Dick Cheney in Vice.

Gaga, 32, posted the sad news on her Instagram, including an image of her and Arabella on a stunning ride in front of the ocean.

In her acceptance speech for best actress, Gaga tearfully thanked her co-star and director Bradley Cooper, calling him a "magical filmmaker".

"Roma" won trophies for best picture, best foreign-language film, and for both director and cinematography for Cuaron.

Hollywood's award season was in full swing late Sunday, with Alfonso Cuaron's "Roma" - an ode to the director's childhood in 1970s Mexico City - the big victor at the Critics' Choice Awards.

The schedule will kick off on the game's release day, that being January 25 for Japan and January 29 for everyone else. There's nothing worse than having a game you've waited years for to be ruined before the it's even released .

"I accept this award as an encouragement to myself to be fearless enough to face and see myself, and by doing, hopefully, I can understand and see others, and ultimately I can help others to see themselves", she said.

Gaga also won best song for Shallow from the Star Is Born soundtrack.

Ben Whishaw, Thandie Newton and Matthew Rhys also added to the British winners list, with Whishaw picking up the best supporting actor in a limited series or movie made for television prize, for his role in A Very English Scandal, opposite Hugh Grant.

After winning for best song and sharing the award for best actress for "A Star Is Born", Gaga told social media followers that she found out her horse was dying, and was rushing to the animal to say goodbye.

"Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse" won the Best Animated Feature award, beating out stiff competition from Pixar-Disney's "The Incredibles 2", Disney's "Ralph Breaks the Internet", and director Wes Anderson's quirky "Isle of Dogs".

The Favourite, which had led the way with 14 nominations, won the best acting ensemble prize, while Crazy Rich Asians won best comedy.
