The 2018 Heisman Trophy victor was selected in the first round of the MLB Draft by the Oakland A's in June, and the No. 9 overall pick has a $4.66 million deal that allowed him to play football with the Sooners for his junior season.

Former Oklahoma quarterback and 2018 Heisman Trophy victor Kyler Murray officially announced he declared for the NFL Draft on Monday, but that doesn't have an immediate impact on his deal with the Oakland A's, who drafted Murray at No. 9 overall a year ago. Among those players is New York Giants running back Saquon Barkley who spoke to TMZ about Murray's choice to declare for the draft.

Top A's executives, a marketing executive from MLB and others met Sunday afternoon with Murray in Dallas, sources told ESPN, to better understand what it would take for Murray to forgo a football career and to sell him on playing baseball full time.

Murray agreed to contract with the A's in June 2018 that paid him a $4.66 million signing bonus.

Major League Baseball insider Ken Rosenthal has the latest on Murray.

After saying Murray won't be able to play both sports because of the demands of the quarterback position, the man known as Prime Time, who was a star in the National Football League and MLB, went on to explain why the young phenom should play baseball exclusively.

Blac Chyna Visited By Police For A 2nd Time To Supervise Dispute
Get a new gig! The outlet also reported that the real issue was a fight that Chyna had gotten into with a member of her glam team. This time, they were reportedly there to "diffuse a potentially explosive situation" involving BC and her former makeup artist.

Phase one of the Kyler Murray is officially happening. "A's likely will want resolution before spring training, but tonight is not THEIR deadline", he tweeted. He led the Sooners to a Big 12 title and a trip to the College Football Playoff, but they were eliminated in the semifinals.

Oklahoma coach Lincoln Riley said in November that if anyone could play both sports, it's Murray. Murray threw for 4,361 yards and 42 touchdowns while completing 69 percent of his passes.

As precedents go, there are several current National Football League quarterbacks who have followed a similar path to Murray. "Sometimes, I still have regret that I didn't give (baseball) more".

The Oakland A's are expecting him at spring training, which starts February 15. Could this hurt his stock before the 2019 NFL Draft?

There are some scouts who believe Murray is a without-a-doubt first round prospect, some of which have gone so far to say he will be in competition with Dwayne Haskins for the No. 1 QB spot.

"This isn't Bo Jackson showing up and here, we'll pitch you the ball and you outrun everybody, or Deion Sanders helicoptering in and his great speed, coverage skills", Callis said.
