Winter Weather Advisory for Tuesday

A wind chill advisory went into effect after 8 inches of snow fell in Seneca County.

The wind chill is expected to moderate "above the warning criteria of -30°C this afternoon as winds ease", and Environment Canada is forecasting the temperatures will fall to near -30°C with wind chill again overnight.

The cold front that moved through yesterday has delivered its punch: temperatures that are 20 to 25 degrees below normal, a 30-degree drop from Sunday, with wind chills as low as 20 below zero in some areas.

Temperatures plus the wind dipped the chill to the negative 30s.
