As Chicago braced for risky cold, Trump joked about global warming

The Midwestern United States is now enduring life-threatening cold temperatures-which these days all but ensures, as so many climate reporters and experts anticipated, an ignorant and even infuriating tweet from President Donald Trump conflating weather and climate. What the hell is going on with Global Waming? None of this, however, seems to be reaching the same man who once called global warming a hoax by the Chinese.

Some forecasts show parts of IL and Minnesota could reach a wind chill of -60 degrees Fahrenheit - as cold as Antarctica. "Please come back fast, we need you!", Trump tweeted. "People can't last outside even for minutes".

Despite Trump's claims, 2018 was among the hottest on record across the globe and the planet is expected to get hotter according to experts. "In coming days, expected to get even colder", Trump wrote on Twitter Monday night.

Arsenal defender Héctor Bellerín has taken to social media to respond to USA president Donald Trump's statements on global warming.

May's party offers new compromise to break Brexit impasse
The Tory grandee claims this would give the Prime Minister " enormous firepower " to renegotiate her Brexit deal with the EU. It will be down to Speaker John Bercow which proposals are selected for a vote later on Tuesday.

Forecasters have said that the most unsafe weather is yet to come, warning of frigidly low temperatures that the region hasn't seen in a quarter century.

As the Associated Press reported, "weather refers to the atmospheric conditions during a shorter period, while climate is a longer view of weather patterns".

The American Meteorological Society recently published a paper suggesting climate change can splinter the polar vortex - a mass of cold winds above the Arctic Circle - and send frigid air into the United States during the winter. This is in keeping with the US President's track record on the matter. "The concept of global warming was created by and for the Chinese in order to make USA manufacturing non-competitive", Trump had tweeted in 2012.
