While the Enhanced Editions would find their way to mobile devices as well as PCs, they never landed on consoles - something publisher Skybound Games is looking to change this year with an agreement to publish the games on as-yet unspecified console platforms.

Several classic RPGs are headed to the next-gen consoles this year. Skybound Games was selected as the team to finish The Walking Dead after Telltale Games shuttered their doors.

The six games in question include the entirety of the Baldur's Gate franchise, including the recently released Siege of Dragonspear by Beamdog, along with the critically acclaimed Planescape Torment, Neverwinter Nights, and Icewind Dale. Neverwinter Nights will also make the jump.

Beamdog previously spruced up Baldur's Gate for the PC back in 2012, where it was known as Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition.

Fortnite account merging is now available - here's how to do it
The ability to merge your Fortnite accounts to share cosmetics and pool V-Bucks across different platforms is finally possible. Having chosen the primary, Fortnite fans will then need to select a secondary account to be merged and then disabled.

To help promote the games upcoming console releases, Beamdog's titles will be on display at the Skybound Games booth at PAX East in Boston from March 28th to March 31st. Today, Baldur's Gate is a series of role-playing games set in the Dungeons & Dragons universe.

Skybound's CEO, Ian Howe, said, "We're excited to bring Beamdog's incredible slate to new platforms for both the dedicated fan and those who will soon discover these adventures for the first time". "Skybound's accomplishments are awesome and they have a demonstrated love and respect for creators".

More information is to come in the following months about their specific release dates and box contents.
