The win was announced during Sunday's pre-show, and despite the pop star's creative differences with Ehrlich, she had nothing but gratitude for her team and fans.

Mac Miller, real name Malcolm McCormick, was 26 when he passed away at his San Fernando Valley, California, on 7 September a year ago, from a drug overdose.

In her acceptance speech, Cardi B thanked her collaborators and gave a special shoutout to her daughter, Kulture, who was born last July.

Following her response, one replied saying "she's trash tho fr", and Ariana responding, clarifying her intentions; "she's not at all and that's not what i meant and u know that".

She clearly had hopes the late star would pick up the Grammy and allegedly posted "trash", "fuck" and "literal bullshit" in three tweets on news of his loss, before thinking better of it and deleting them.

This is the singer's first ever Grammy Award win. "Trust I tried and still truly wished it had worked".
