For the past few years, New England's star receiver has been letting his beard grow throughout the season.

Best of all, however, he agreed to give the beard a farewell in exchange for a $10,000 donation to Boys & Girls Club of Boston - a donation he told Ellen he'd match for a total of $20,000 to the after-school program.

The show aired on Friday.

"I'm not going down that road", Edelman said.

And, though he probably would have been perfectly willing to discuss his post-Super Bowl plans - going to Disney World and then stopping by the Grammys to present an award - Edelman declined to discuss the circumstances surrounding his suspension during an interview with Peter King. And my mother, being the loving little lady that she is, I was never late to a practice, she was always there. "So this is like a full-family kind of win", he said. She took care of me for a long time.

Edelman became to first-ever Jewish player to get the MVP. The Patriots won 13-3.

Throughout Edelman's career, he continues to prove he plays at another level during the postseason.

Belichick has this thing that he says: 'Put everything in the drawer and [don't] worry about it until it's done.

"Eating is a nightmare", Edelman told Ellen of his unruly beard.

From winning the NFC West title for a second year in a row to proving this team is built to compete in the NFC for years to come, the Rams have plenty to be proud of from his past season, even if they came up short in Super Bowl 53 against the Patriots. "I have to shower after I eat". Ellen shaved it off.
