Aaron Ramsey will become Britain's highest-paid player of all-time after signing a staggering £400,000-a-week-plus pre-contract deal at Juventus.

The Arsenal midfielder is a free agent when his contract expires in June, and was linked with several leading European clubs including Barcelona, Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain and Chelsea.

Welsh global Ramsey has already passed a January medical at Juve, and will link up with Massimiliano Allegri's team over the summer.

The Wales global has agreed a pre-contract deal to join on July 1 when his Arsenal deal expires at the end of the season.

A move to Juventus could re-energise Ramsey, with the Italian champions a dominant force in Serie A having won the past seven Scudetto titles.

"We look forward to Aaron helping the team to a strong end to this season before he joins Juventus in the summer".

While Ramsey is unlikely to challenge for a starting position in the attacking unit, the Welshman does have an eye for goal and has hit double figures across a season on three occasions.

However, his playing time decreased this season as he made nine starts and 13 substitute appearances in the Premier League this season under new manager Unai Emery.
