Abrines has appeared in only two games since December 23, sitting out because of personal reasons. Abrines and the team came to a mutual decision that he needed to step away from the game to work on those issues, according to Royce Young of ESPN.

Alex Abrines' OKC Thunder career is over.

After Abrines established himself as a key player for the Thunder to start the season, he has since missed 20 out of the last 22 games for the team, mostly due to personal reasons. "He's around the team, we always talk and communicate". Abrines was waived by the Thunder Saturday after three seasons with the franchise. He was expected to be a significant role player for the Thunder, providing floor spacing alongside Russell Westbrook and Paul George.

The Thunder part ways with Abrines after the latter spent the three seasons on the team.

Former resident Anastasia Bondarenko said the bears are no longer scared of man and have become "insolent". They could have gone past but for the food. "But as there are bins with edible waste, they stop to flock".

Abrines will be a free agent this summer, but it is unclear if he will remain in the United States or opt to return to his native Spain.

Abrines is averaging 5.3 points and 1.5 rebounds in 2018-19.

With the move, the Thunder's roster is down to 12 guaranteed contracts and two two-way contracts (Donte Grantham, Deonte Burton).
