This weekend saw Ubisoft open the doors on their upcoming tactical shooter Tom Clancy's The Division 2.

The Division 2 will have an open beta, apparently. Plus, if you didn't get a chance this past weekend, it means everyone can sample the game before it launches in March.

The Division 2's private beta kicked off last Thursday and ran all weekend for players that pre-ordered the game or were lucky enough to nab a spot by signing up on the official site.

Headlines about an open beta for The Division 2 made the rounds today after a community developer mentioned an "open beta" during a livestream.

On a personal level, I'm excited to see more of what The Division 2 has to offer when it releases. As with most beta tests, it suffered from a few bugs, but developer Massive Entertainment did its best to push out updates to improve the experience for players. It's now a question of when rather than if; with the game due out on 15th March, it seems likely the open beta will take place at the end of this month.
