United played well in the first half but lost both Anthony Martial and Jesse Lingard to injury at half time and without two of the men integral for their turnaround they struggled in the second half.

The loss was the first under caretaker manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in his 12th match since replacing Jose Mourinho and also the heaviest-ever home defeat for United in Europe, having previously only been beaten by one-goal margins.

After 10 wins from his first 11 games in charge, Solskjaer admitted the French champions had given them a "reality check".

"Today we weren't at the level, this is a level up from what we have played against".

Arsene Wenger has criticised Manchester United's performance against PSG in the Champions League on Tuesday night and says they were completely blown away in midfield.

"And we are looking to strengthen the squad and then again we have so many young players to take a step up for next season".

Prince William and Kate make angelic appearance at the 2019 Baftas
William, who is president of the British Academy, wore a simple black dinner suit and let his wife's outfit do all of the talking. Kate Middleton has several pieces of jewellery from Princes Diana's collection, which she uses every now and then.

"No, not at all because at this club we have to bounce back and we are in a tournament, the Champions League, where it's always going to be hard, but our bread and butter is the (domestic) league so (I'm) not afraid of that". Pinpoint delivery from a corner by the man who cost United a then-British record £59.7m when he arrived from Real Madrid in 2014 led to Presnel Kimpembe escaping Matic and volleying home at the far post.

Angel Di Maria was booed, whistled and insulted, even being the target of a thrown bottle, but he responded with a smile and left the pitch having assisted twice, even pretending to drink from the bottle after it landed beside him. "It has to be one that we're going to learn from".

And because of the abuse he'd received during the previous 53 minutes, Di Maria made sure he gave some back to the United fans following Kimpembe's goal. "The ground he (Mbappe) makes up that boy to get in the box, to all the strikers that want to be poachers that's how to get in the box".

As Di Maria sent in a cross, Mbappe darted between center backs Eric Bailly and Victor Lindelof and clipped the ball under goalkeeper David de Gea for his 23rd goal of the season.

And any hope of a United comeback in Paris suffered another huge blow when Pogba was dismissed late on for catching Dani Alves with a raised boot.
