Guard Jeremy Lin and the Atlanta Hawks are finalizing a buyout of his contract, and he then expects to sign with the Toronto Raptors, according to an ESPN report.

Lin will sign with Toronto later this week, said Jim Tanner, one of his agents. The video of his memorably buzzer-beater in Toronto made the social media rounds.

The veteran point guard's arrival in Toronto would boost the Raptors, who will be without guard Fred VanVleet for at least three weeks because of a partially torn ligament in his left thumb. Also, Lin brings playmaking ability and should be able to fit in Nick Nurse's offence. Everyone competes in this league, but I think there is a pocket of guys that go above and beyond that.

Russell had a double-double - his seventh of the season - with 28 points and a career-high 14 assists, plus seven rebounds.

The plan to enter into an agreement with Lin comes one day after the Raptors finalized the conversion of two-way player Chris Boucher's contract to an National Basketball Association standard contract.

Kawhi Leonard banked in the go-ahead field goal with 4.2 seconds to play as he scored 30 points and added eight assists to help the Toronto Raptors to a 127-125 victory over the visiting Brooklyn Nets Monday night.

Allen Crabbe had 22 points while shooting 6-for-10 from 3-point range - now 11-for-19 over the last two games. He's been part of three previous playoff runs, in 2013 and 2014 with Houston and in 2016 with Charlotte.
