The Motown legend and fashion trendsetter, who has received both the American Music Award for Lifetime Achievement and the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award, shared her 75th birthday diamond jubilee "Diamond Diana" celebration at the 61st Grammy Awards.

Ross then appeared in a flowing crimson gown, explaining her passion for music: "When I was a little girl, I felt the joy of singing". The singer - who sang a medley of her hits in a tribute to herself, in honor of her upcoming 75th birthday - left her peers in awe. "I'm nearly 4ft 9". "She has shown the world that nothing is beyond our reach", Raif-Henok said of his grandmother before introducing her to the crowd. There's only success ahead.

Ross began her solo career in the late '60s, reaching No. 1 with such hits as "Ain't No Mountain High Enough" and "Love Hangover".

With all the circumstances that happened during the game and this season, it's so important to recognise that they are doing a fantastic effort and I am so proud of that.

After telling the crowd "don't be lazy" as she prompted everyone to stand, she ended the performance by exclaiming, "Happy birthday to me!" Other family members, including Ross' daughter Tracee Ellis Ross and son Evan Ross, were also in attendance and cheered him and the singer on.

Hosted by Alicia Keys, Sunday's Grammys also boasted buzzy performances from the likes of Camila Cabello, Cardi B, Chloe x Halle, Kacey Musgraves, Katy Perry, Lady Gaga and Miley Cyrus, Post Malone and the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
