Also coming to Telstra, Three UK, Deutsche Telekom, Sunrise, and Elisa carriers outside the USA, the HTC 5G Hub is a Frankenstein device that essentially combines a 5G router, smart display, and battery pack into one device.

The Hub will also work as a media center, capable of streaming 4K video over Wi-Fi to a connected device. The five-in HD touchscreen makes it easy to use and the long-lasting power is ideal for travelling to connect 5G speeds dramatically faster than 4G LTE networks.

There's now no word as to how much the HTC 5G Hub will cost, but we do know that it's launching at some point in Q2 of this year.

"HTC is proud to bring to market the world's first 5G mobile smart hub", said Cher Wang, Chairwoman and CEO of HTC in a statement.

HTC plans that, in the future, users will stream VR content from the cloud to a VIVE Focus headset via the HTC 5G Hub eliminating the need for PCs or cables.

Most of the smartphone OEMs have launched their flagship smartphones at MWC 2019, whereas HTC has launched a 5G hub powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC with 5G networking capability.

Emma Thompson quit a large-scale animated film after John Lasseter joined Skydance
Thompson's departure, though, has become the most visible sign that Skydance may face ramifications over Lasseter's hiring. Though her casting had not yet been announced, THR says that Thompson was set to play the head of the good luck division.

The HTC 5G Hub is also designed for high-speed mobility use with the next-generation business environment in mind, HTC said. A 7,660 mAh battery makes the HTC 5G Hub ready to support a wide range of on-the-go duties.

Announced this week, HTC's latest device is the 5G Hub, a gadget Telstra recently previewed at a 5G launch in Australia, but that now has an official name and details, with HTC building it as a travel companion of sorts.

In the United Kingdom it'll run on EE and Three's 5G networks (neither of which actually quite exist yet but lets not split hairs), with other European carriers including Deutsche Telekom (Germany), Sunrise (Switzerland), and Elisa (Finland). “This device will revolutionize the connected home, enhance mobile gaming and power small businesses in a new and exciting way.
