"If Brighton lose their FA Cup quarter-final match on 17 March we shall play Brighton on 6/7 April (subject to Champions League scheduling) and Crystal Palace on 23/24 April".

And with Mauricio Pochettino revealing afterwards that he was hopeful of playing at the redeveloped White Hart Lane in the next stage, the club have worked to make sure that will be the case, provided they receive a safety certificate after two test events.

Should the club be granted its safety certificates after these games, their first home game could be the league game against Brighton which is now scheduled for April 7.

After months of delays and postponements, and tantalising glimpses, updates, fan footage, and inspections the new Tottenham Hotspur Stadium is ready to be officially unveiled.

The arrangement has been made following discussions between Spurs, the Premier League and UEFA, to ensure they host a league game at the new ground before their Champions League quarter-final.

Tottenham are keen to play a league match at the stadium ahead of that European fixture, which could be played the week commencing April 8 if Spurs are drawn at home first. We are going to try to do our job, try to be better, force them to play deeper and manage the game.

Tottenham Hotspur have announced details for two Test Event matches at the club's new stadium.

The first game will see Spurs' Under-18s take on Southampton at 3pm on Sunday 24 March, with a capacity of around 30,000.
