Young people point to several reasons for their anger: The raft of recent scientific reports highlighting the perils of unabated global warming for future generations, and the inaction when it comes to implementing available climate solutions.

Students will gather outside the Palmerston North City Council Building on Friday from 9am to 12pm and march around The Square at 11am.

Whether students should be striking during school time was a decision for students and their parents, Ardern told local media earlier in the day.
