Former Chiefs running back Kareem Hunt has been suspended eight games by the National Football League for violating the NFL's Personal Conduct Policy.

Dorsey and his staff now have closure on the suspension of Kareem Hunt, who they signed on a cheap one-year deal shortly after the Super Bowl.

"Kareem Hunt of the Cleveland Browns was notified today that he has been suspended without pay for the Browns' first eight regular-season games for violations of the NFL Personal Conduct Policy in connection with physical altercations at his residence in Cleveland last February and at a resort in OH last June", the statement said.

Hunt has apologised again and said he "respects the league's decision on discipline".

"I want to again apologize for my actions a year ago".

The league said Hunt has told them he's committed to "available resources" and he has pledged to live up his obligations.

Hunt, 23, was released November 30 by the Chiefs after video surfaced of him shoving and kicking a woman in the hallway of a Cleveland hotel last February.

UEFA open investigation into Neymar over his comments on VAR
Neymar , meanwhile, has not featured for PSG since he went off injured in the side's 2-0 victory over Strasbourg on January 23. UEFA today confirmed they are launching an investigation into Neymar's comments via a statement on their website.

Browns general manager John Dorsey drafted Hunt for the Chiefs in 2017, when Dorsey was the team's GM. Hunt reportedly punched a man in the face in that incident.

Greg Hardy was suspended 10 games after his domestic violence case came out, but after an appeal it was lowered to four games due to the National Football League rulebook stating that is the maximum time allowed for such a case.

Dorsey has been unwavering in his support of Hunt.

Hunt, 23, will be able to participate in the Browns offseason activities and, subsequently, training camp. "I know he has been diligently working on that".

Hunt, who will be a restricted free agent at the end of next season, issued a statement in which he reiterated his apology. The Browns can hold on to Johnson well into October if they wish, add something at a position of need for Johnson in-season, and then get a super-motivated Hunt, playing for his National Football League career on a one-year deal, down the stretch. He also had 53 receptions for 455 yards and three touchdowns. After friends try to hold back Hunt, he pushes one of them into the woman, which causes both individuals to fall.

Before that, he was on pace to match or beat his 1327 rushing yards and had seven rushing touchdowns to go along with seven receiving touchdowns before being released.
