Whoopi Goldberg's Surprise Visit After Health Scare Brings Tears On 'The View'

And along with a big thank you for all the love and support she received, the 63-year-old Oscar victor came with a message about health insurance.

"I wanted the first foray to be to come see y'all because I really kinda missed y'all", she said. Goldberg surprised her co-hosts Thursday morning at the beginning of the show, and the group spent the next few minutes in a massive group hug.

Whoopi shared the great news that she is planning on coming back to the show gradually, over the next six weeks, despite still struggling a bit with her "challenged" immune system.

She said she may be back on "The View" next week.

After months away with pneumonia, Whoopi Goldberg has finally returned to The View. "There's death, and here's me", she said.

"If the doctor says this is what you need, I feel like you should listen to the doctor", Goldberg said.

"You can never leave me again", co-host Meghan McCain said when Goldberg first appeared.

Goldberg said she hopes her experience serves as a "cautionary tale for all of us".

The plan is to start ramping up production in 2020. "They deserve to know if they're a security threat", he said. Officials from the company say literacy is a fundamental part of career preparedness.

"You must really take care of yourself, because there's little tiny stuff out there that will kill you that you never think of", Goldberg said.

"You think you can push through because you have a little cold, and you think because you've healed before something insane can't happen".

"She's not feeling well", Behar said at the time.

She also revealed that while treating her double lung inflammation, she was diagnosed with sepsis - a frightening condition caused when the body has an extreme, over-active, life-threatening response to an infection. "There was all kinds of stuff going on and, yes, I came very, very close to leaving the Earth". "And the people who are saying "no" to you are not doctors, they are people looking at algorithms". "And it got me to thinking: 'Why is it that I've been paying insurance for nearly 60 years and it hasn't rolled over, you know what I mean?"

"There are all these conspiracy theories on the Internet that she's not really sick and she's secretly preparing to host the Oscars", Behar said.
