ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reported later Sunday night that Smart has been diagnosed with a strained oblique, which carries a much shorter recovery time than a hip contusion.

So when the horn sounded on their 116-108 win over the Boston Celtics on Sunday night to clinch the Magic's first postseason berth since 2012, they took some extra time to celebrate.

Both players left the game early and didn't return and were not in the locker room when reporters entered it postgame. Tatum has a left shin contusion. A road game against the Miami Heat on Tuesday and a home game against the Chicago Bulls on Wednesday in the season finale.

Smart fell to the ground after colliding with Magic center Nikola Vucevic midway through the third quarter.

"The point of (Sunday) was to try to - because we won't play [a playoff game] 'til Saturday, maybe Sunday - was to get a true game for some of our starters and our top seven or eight guys", Stevens said. Although he said that the five-year veteran looked sore, he was trying to walk while he was in the locker room.

Anchor Stefan Holt also reports on the death of a Marine in Afghanistan, subway performance and a construction mishap in Brooklyn. Mount Vernon police said they are aware of the situation but were not involved in the investigation into the missing couple.

Stevens, however, was not too concerned as he revealed that Tatum was carrying the injury in the days leading up to the game, but has not informed the head coach about his condition.

That changed, however, once the game began, and Tatum exited for good after just six minutes.

On the flip side, his new starting lineup has only played a grand total of 10 games together so if guys are healthy, Brown may throw them out there for chemistry purposes. "He did the whole shootaround this morning, he got warmed up, he did his whole workout, and he felt great".

The game was Boston's for a majority of the first half, before Orlando went on a run that continued into the second half and eventually brought the Magic's lead to 14 points.
