Is Rey actually Luke Skywalker's daughter?

Daisy Ridley confirmed that the lightsaber she is wielding belongs to Luke Skywalker.

It's here! Star Wars Episode IX has gotten a title.

Many of them undoubtedly spent time at the office they should've spent, well, working playing and replaying the roughly two-minute clip, pouring over every scene looking for clues about what to expect and the meaning of the movie's title, "The Rise of Skywalker". A spaceship is off in the distance. While we know little about her character apart from the name, there was a brief glimpse of her on the screen during the panel. A thousand generations live in you now. "Leia lives in this film in a way that is kind of mind-blowing to me". Rey is doing force flips!

Next viewers are taken to another planet.

The Millennium Falcon is also seen cruising through the air with Chewbacca at the front.

Lando Calrissian, played by Billie Dee Williams is along for the ride and is laughing. It's on fire and about to crash. We get new worlds, bits and pieces of exciting battle sequences and enticing clues that are already being examined and re-examined. She rubs it as if its a magic genie.

In the statement, Fisher-Price said that it is essential that product warnings and instructions are always followed. The AAP does not recommend inclined sleep products or any other products for sleep that require restraining a baby.

Now, of course, we learned Rey's parents were, well, nobodies.

"We're so excited, because I think what you're going to end up seeing you're going to be so happy with", Kennedy said about the upcoming film. "No one's ever really gone".

The trailer ends with the haunting laugh of Emperor Palpatine.

But, predictably, there are still more questions than answers when it comes to "The Rise of Skywalker", especially what will come after.

During the Chicago Star Wars Celebration, Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy spoke about the future of the franchise. Is it better if Rey didn't come from known Star Wars lineage?

Also revealed is that IX doesn't pick up immediately after the events of The Last Jedi. "This is an adventure that the group goes on together", he is quoted in The Hollywood Reporter as saying. The film will hit theaters on December 20.

Naturally, they kept plot and character details to a minimum - this is Star Wars after all, and the king of Mystery Box storytelling, no less - but Abrams did confirm some exciting details. We all just loved her. After Fisher died in late 2016, it was unclear to what extent she would appear in the final film. Beyond that, the panel promises new details about the highly anticipated third movie in the new trilogy. "The insane thing is how not insane it feels because she is there in these scenes".
