"From fundraising emails labeling @AOC a domestic terrorist to the constant questioning of @IlhanMN's loyalty to and love of country, the right-wing is actively inciting violence against young progressive women of color in Congress", organizers with the Women's March posted on Twitter.

AOC referenced Martin Niemoller's sorrowful meditation on inaction in the face of injustice, known for the refrain "first they came", to complain about critics who denounced Omar this week for minimizing the 9/11 attacks.

Nothing that the New York Post or Crenshaw said used "completely out-of-context quotes" from Omar, they quoted her directly. "Why don't you go do something about that?" she tweeted at Crenshaw.

In a letter hand-delivered to Ocasio-Cortez's office Friday, Republican Rep. Andy Barr of Kentucky told the congresswoman he "was greatly trouble to hear of your comments about our colleague and patriot to our country".

Last month, Ocasio-Cortez accepted Barr's invitation to "go underground" into a Kentucky coal mine so that he can show the author of the sweeping Green New Deal the "real life implications" of the climate change legislation that Republicans say would put coal miners out of business.

Ocasio-Cortez accused Crenshaw of twisting Omar's words.

Known by her initials, AOC, the left-wing American politician has gained a considerable fanbase since being elected as a Democrat to represent NY in the 2018 mid-term elections.

Reports suggest the plane skidded off the runway to the right and hit the helicopter as it landed from Kathmandu . Hoards of people gathered around the aircraft wreckage following the crash as debris was strewn on the ground.

Ocasio-Cortez's claim that Omar has "done more for 9/11 families than the GOP" is a blatant lie.

"I am questioning how any American, let alone a United States Congresswoman, could downplay the 9/11 attacks", the Fox News host later tweeted.

Crenshaw had initially commented that Omar was the "First member of Congress to ever describe terrorists who killed thousands of Americans on 9/11 as 'some people who did something, '" which he called "unbelievable".

Earlier this year, a bipartisan group of legislators introduced a bill to fully fund the Victim Compensation Fund.

The Daily Caller notes that the 9/11 Victim's Compensation Fund has not been voted on yet, and Crenshaw does not appear to have expressed opposition to it.

Ocasio-Cortez also criticized The New York Post for publishing Omar's comments on the front page of their Thursday paper.
