A lot of changes and new features will be added, but among those, a new ability will give you the chance to edit, comment, and collaborate those Microsoft Office files via Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides.

"Office editing will make it easy for G Suite users to open and edit Microsoft Office files that have been shared by partners, vendors or other teams". This feature brings the collaboration benefits of G Suite to Office files while streamlining workflows by eliminating the need to convert file types.

Google said it will support these file types:.doc, .docx, .dot (Word),.xls, .xlsx, .xlsm, .xlt (Excel),.ppt, .pptx, .pps, .pot (PowerPoint).

They said in their statement they were grateful for the goodwill messages they had received from around the world. Kate Middleton and Princess Diana both gave birth and posed for photographs outside the Lindo Wing at St.

This basically means you will be able to do real-time collaboration in Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides, without worrying about the original format.

This morning, Google announced support would be coming to the commercial versions of those apps right now, namely G Suite, but the company now tells The Verge they're coming to regular users too, as soon as this month.

Google also added cloud telephony to G Suite with "Voice", giving users a phone number that works from anywhere on any device.
