BTS breaks another YouTube record, just a week after BlackPink

For all the excitement evident in the audience, the loudest cheers reverberated across social media as the BTS ARMY noted all the enthusiasm and welcomed the legion of newly converted SNL-watching fans.

Interestingly, the last few months have seen YouTube's 24-hour viewing record smashed more times than avocado in a trendy café, with Ariana Grande setting a record of 50.3 million views back in December, in turn dethroning BTS" "Idol' as the record-holder.

This week has been sensational for BTS: the band broke YouTube's one-day viewing record, notching 78 million views for their collaboration with Halsey and 2 million comments.

Korean pop superstars BTS, the most popular boy band in world, have broken YouTube's record for the most views garnered in the first 24 hours of release with their song titled Boy With Luv featuring American pop star Halsey, reported Variety. Both videos already have well over 1 million views.

The guys from BTS hit the stage for performances of their smash hit songs "Boy with Luv" and "Mic Drop" on Saturday Night Live's new episode on Saturday (April 13) in New York City.
