Honor 8S renders and specifications leaked

The launch on Wednesday is in China but the Honor 20 series is sheduled to get a global release in London. "DATE: 444+4x4x4+(4+4)/4+44/4", the invitation reads. To tease the launch, Honor took a rather cryptic route that required mathematical abilities to unravel the launch date.

Looking at the launch invite we can say that the device or devices are going to be focused on the camera. On the camera front, the device offers a 8-megapixel sensor at the front for selfies. Honor 20 may feature the flagship hardware with top of the line Huawei HiSilicon Kirin 980 SoC along with triple camera module at rear probably having sensors of 48MP + 20MP + 8MP with one of them being an ultra-wide lens. Details about the Honor 8S have been leaked and while there is no official word yet, the company might soon launch the Honor 8S.

As for the Honor 20 Lite speculation, this suggests the phone will be basically a Huawei P30 Lite with a micro-USB port rather than a USB-C port.

The analysts are basing this on the presumption of the platform reaching 29 million subscribers paying $12.99 per month by 2024. Though the price for the monthly Arcade gaming service is not revealed yet, it is expected the rollout in this year autumn.

The lone camera at the rear will be capable of shooting videos at up to 1080p resolution. The phone is expected to feature a 6.1-inch fullHD+ OLED display, and both the HONOR 20 and 20 Pro will be fueled by the same processor, the Kirin 980.

As for the battery, the Honor 8S is said to be powered by a small 3,020mAh Li-ion battery. Coming to the optics, the smartphone has a 13 MP primary camera with a single tone LED flash and a 5 MP selfie camera on the front. The device will allegedly support 22.5W fast charging, while three variants of the device are rumored to cost 2,999 Yuan ($446), 3,399 Yuan ($506), and 3,799 Yuan ($565).
