The choice of an American nanny is a natural one as the royal baby will be half-American, and Meghan will be keen for her child to grow up knowing and being exposed to its American roots and culture.

The post could have been written by Meghan's American head of communications Sara Latham, but many believe it sounds just like the LA-born and charity-loving duchess, despite referring to her in the third person.

The statement continued, "Their Royal Highnesses wanted you to know the impact of your support - the direct effect your donation, energy, and action made!"

As you may be aware, Meghan and Harry made an official announcement later that month but there was considerable speculation before this.

In a post praising the public for choosing "to be part of the collective good", they relayed the success of a week-long charity drive and told 4.6 million followers: "You made this happen".

When is Meghan Markle's due date?

They will earn approximately $126,000 (£70K) a year and live in Windsor, at Frogmore Cottage with the Sussexes.

Unlike the previous arrival of royal babies, Meghan Markle won't be following the royal tradition like Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton who gave a first glimpse of her three kids when she stepped out of St Mary's hospital in London.

The Queen will turn 93 this Sunday.

Details regarding the birth of the newest royal baby have been kept under wraps per the couple.

With a Royal Baby just days away, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have reportedly begun hunting for a live-in nanny.

Kensington Palace confirmed Meghan and Harry's royal baby birth arrival will be kept private.

Harry and Meghan announced they will instead share their own pictures of baby Sussex after they have "an opportunity to celebrate privately as a new family".

Though Meghan's baby will be born of royal blood, that does not necessarily mean that he or she will be dubbed a prince or princess. Fortunately, there have been a few clues that may reveal whether the baby is a boy or girl.

Well, we certainly can't wait to meet the new baby! Now, we're not saying that the Duke of Sussex hasn't changed since his union with Meghan. because he has.

According to the British betting company Ladbrokes, many think the couple will name their first child Diana (if it's a girl) after Prince Harry's late mother.
