‘Game of Thrones’ Season 8 Episode 2 Leaks

The Game of Thrones fever has taken over the Monday Blues as episode 2 of season 8 aired today. It all seems like weird questioning until she tells him that they'll both probably die soon and she wants to know what it feels like to be with a man. Granted, Arya was still basically a child when she had last seen Gendry, and she was devastated when he chose to stay on with the Brotherhood, telling him tearfully "I can be your family". "The only sibling of his that truly understood this was Arya, who experienced similar treatment due to her tomboyish nature".

Williams says Arya's moment with Gendry was all about her getting in touch with her humanity, instead of another season of surviving and fighting and killing.

Though Arya might have been nervous, it didn't stop her from standing her ground in the bedroom. Tyrion made light of the grim situation at hand and his sequences with the likes of Jamie, Brienne, Podrick Payne, Tormund Giantbane and Ser Davos was a delightful watch. She seems upset not because it means she was banging her nephew, but because he's now the official heir to the Iron Throne. Tormund tries to flirt with Brienne when he sees Jaime. He tells her he has, and she tells him to explain to her what the dead were like - how they move, how they fight, what they smell like, what it was like to face them. Gendry reveals to Arya that he was Robert Baratheon's illegitimate son. Tyrion is the first to say her title - Sir Brienne of Tarth, Knight of the Seven Kingdoms.

Then the White Walkers arrive.

Threes are important to the Targaryens - Daenerys and King Aegon had three dragons, and Dany heard a prophecy in the books saying, "The dragon has three heads". A shocked, and a visibly irked, Dany disbelieves the story and she even pooh-poohs Jon's claims that Bran and Sam have confirmed this (one is his brother, other his best friend). By the end we're rushing to finish the scene and David is going, "Okay, you're going to come in and do this and do that and, great, take your top off" - and then walked off.

However, before they could discuss this further, a loud horn reverberates, which heralds the arrival of the Night King's army to Winterfell.

This week's episode of Game of Thrones had plenty of intense moments-particularly the final scene, during which Jon reveals his true identity to Daenerys-but all of those scenes appear to be child's play in comparison to next week's episode, which will be a nearly-90-minute battle sequence for Winterfell. "I don't think it's 'cause he's got a grudge, per se, it's not like he's waiting there to be like 'You pushed me out the window!' I think he's just going there to make it clear that he remembers".
