"We will thoroughly inspect these units in person to determine the cause of the matter", the ABC News report quoted a Samsung spokesperson as saying.

Samsung issued out a statement in regards to the screens breaking stating that the reviewers had attempted to peel off a protective plastic layer that was adhered to the screen itself.

In September 2016, Samsung suspended sales of the Galaxy Note 7 and announced an informal recall.

Some users have suffered issues following them removing a protective layer from the 7.3-inch screen. "But I don't know if Samsung can completely fix the problem about screens". The device's packaging didn't discourage the attempt however, and the sheet seemed similar to the protective films that come with most phones, tablets, and TVs right out of the box.

The main display on the Galaxy Fold features a top protective layer, which is part of the display structure created to protect the screen from unintended scratches, according to the spokesperson.

Nogami said he expected oil prices to rise further because of USA sanctions and OPEC-led supply cuts. U.S. secretary of state mike Pompeo will flesh out the details in an announcement shortly.

He said Samsung replaced his test phone but did not offer an explanation for the problem.

Separately, a few reviewers reported having removed the top layer of the display causing damage to the screen.

"It is very troubling", Bohn told Reuters, adding that he did not remove the protective layer.

A few days ago, a well-known gadget leaker said that Samsung would bring a dedicated "Night Mode" to the Galaxy S10 camera app in April or May, and it looks like Samsung is ready to deliver. Research firm Gartner expects the overall market to expand to 30 million units by 2023.

"Some units of Samsung Electronics's US$1,980 Galaxy Fold showed display troubles such as its display being turned off or flickering after it was used for one day or two", U.S, business cable TV channel CNBC said on April 17 (local time). Samsung did claim at the time of its launch that phone can withstand 200,000 folds, but that's not the case here. The company has released footage of machines repeatedly opening and closing the phone in what it dubbed an "extremity test".
