Motion Twin, the developer behind the game Dead Cells have just announced that the game will be released on mobile soon. Players will have to fight their way past the "keepers" in order to continue exploring the ever-changing castle.

Starting its life as an early access Steam game, the now-final version of Dead Cells is one of the best rogue-likes to grace gaming. Its frantic 2D combat is hard to master, with the ever-present threat of permadeath looming over every level.

While we don't have a firm release date, some digging around in Playdigious's fact sheets shows that a release date of "Summer 2019" is planned for iOS devices and the price is set for €9.99 (roughly $11 USD).

The iOS release will be carefully redesigned for the iPhone and iPad, with a revamped interface.

The game will also support external controllers through Bluetooth and MFi. The mobile port will feature two modes, "Original" and "Auto-Hit".

First available on PC and consoles, the indie hit Dead Cells is now slaying foes on mobile!

This is a one-time purchase, and players will not see "F2P mechanics" or ads in the game, according to Playdigious.

The mobile adaptation will also arrive on Android, but for the moment the launch window has not yet been announced.
