Android Focus Mode lets you pause apps that will distract you

The announcements were dotted throughout almost two hours of product updates from the search giant at its annual Google I/O developers' conference. The Android parent is renowned for releasing software updates for its native Android apps every single day and this time, the app to get updated is none other than Google Phone.

Further, the company said it would not use "video footage, audio recordings, and home environment sensor readings" to personalize ads.

Speaking at the Google I/O, the Director of Engineering responsible for the Play Store and Games on Google Play, Aurash Mahbod said, "We know that emerging markets are a key area of growth for you all, which is why we're excited to announce pending transactions".

Android is the most popular mobile OS, though over the course of the last few years, Google has also invested in KaiOS. Besides, they were even forced to considerably bring down the price of the XR and even Google had to come up with a $400 premium mid-range in order to cope up with waning sales.

The artificial intelligence technology that drives the Assistant can now run locally on mobile devices, which processes speech on-device at almost zero latency, with transcription that happens in real-time, even without going online, Google said.
